Deborah grew up right here in Glen Burnie, where her family always kept a dog around the house. She can’t remember a time when she didn’t enjoy the company of animals—there is nothing she would rather do than help pets and the people who care for them to live happier, healthier lives. Deborah has spent nearly her entire career serving pets and animal parents here at Glen Burnie Animal Hospital!
Veterinary Technician Manager
Pam remembers the day her family Chihuahua, Fang, had an accident at her childhood home. After an emergency veterinary visit and a weekend spent waiting with bated breath, Pam and her family got the good news that Fang would make a full recovery! Although Pam was only a child at the time, the experience made a lasting impression. As fate would have it, she’s now able to give other families that same joy as a veterinary professional.
Shannon was still in middle school when she rescued her first pet, a kitten that was only a few hours old. She took it home and bottle-raised the tiny creature; right then and there, Shannon knew that she wanted to work hands-on with animals when she got older. She feels fortunate and proud to have now been a member of Glen Burnie Animal Hospital’s skilled care team for 18 wonderful years!
Crystal recalls a moment from her childhood when she told her mother that she would purchase all the vacant homes she could find and turn them into animal shelters. She’s had an intrinsic passion for pet care ever since her earliest days. Crystal’s desire to help the earth’s creatures hasn’t quit—now, she’s been serving pets and their owners here at Glen Burnie Animal Hospital for more than 14 years!
Kasey spent time growing up on her grandparents’ farm in Bristol, Tennessee when she was very young. It was there that she made her first connections to the earth’s creatures—caring for the farm animals made a permanent impression that hasn’t wavered to this day. Kasey always knew that she was destined for a career in animal medicine!
Edith was born in Germany, but has lived right here in Glen Burnie for most of her life. Ever since she can remember, she’s wanted to do her part to brighten the days of others. Working as a receptionist here at the hospital gives Edith the best of both worlds: she gets to improve the lives of pets while ultimately making a difference for the community’s families!
After several years spent working in the food industry, Kaitlin realized that something was missing. When she thought back on her lifelong love of animals, she had a realization: caring for pets hands-on as a veterinary professional would be the perfect fit! Kaitlin hasn’t looked back since; she’s proud to serve as one of Glen Burnie Animal Hospital’s skilled Veterinary Technicians.
Growing up, Kimberly spent time around all sorts of animals—her family kept everything from dogs and cats to ducks, fish, geese, and rabbits. For her, being able to give something back to the pets who have given her so much is a dream come true. Kimberly is proud to serve as a member of Glen Burnie Animal Hospital’s front-desk team!
For Danya, veterinary medicine is truly a family affair—she is Dr. Shah’s daughter! Danya serves the area’s pets as a Veterinary Technician, and loves to soak up all the medical knowledge she can here at the hospital. In the future, she hopes to apply much of what she’s learned to human healthcare while pursuing dental school!
Growing up, Joanna spent most of her days on her grandparents’ farms in South Dakota, where animal care was a natural part of life from day one. She spent time around everything from dogs and cats to cattle and sheep—ever since she can remember, she’s wanted to help the earth’s creatures stay healthy. Now, Joanna is proud to do just that as a member of the Glen Burnie Animal Hospital team!
